Your account

Your data

Everything Codemoot holds about you, under your control. The privacy page explains what we store and why, in plain language.

Take a copy

One zip, one JSON file per kind of record: account details, memberships, friendships, messages, posts, portfolio, launches, notifications, requests and reports. Passwords are stored only as hashes and are in no export.

Fix what's wrong

Your name, username, bio, interests and links are yours to edit on the profile page, and your email address and password on the account page, effective immediately. For anything you cannot change yourself, write to hello@codemoot.com from the address on your account and we will correct it.

Optional processing

The newsletter is the only optional thing we do with your data. No analytics, no ads, no profiling: there is nothing else to turn off because nothing else runs.

Cookies and storage

Two necessary cookies, a few local-storage conveniences, and no optional categories. If we ever add an optional cookie it will arrive switched off, behind real consent, with Reject exactly as prominent as Accept.

Downgrading is not deleting

Downgrading a plan
Reversible

Hides anything past the free limits and deletes nothing. Upgrade again and it is all back, same order, same links. Reversible any time.

Deleting the account
Permanent after 14 days

Permanent after 14 days: until then you can sign in and keep the account. Then profile, messages, posts, portfolio and history are removed from the database. Residual copies in the host's routine backups expire within 30 days. Once paid plans open, invoices will be kept for six years as UK tax law requires.

Who is responsible

Codemoot is being registered as a UK limited company; the company number and registered office will appear here the day they are issued. Until then, the person answering hello@codemoot.com is the person responsible. Our one processor is Hostinger, which runs the servers, database and outbound email.

If we ever let you down on any of this, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.

Delete this account

Everything above is erased 14 days after you ask. Until then you are signed out, your portfolio is hidden, and signing in lets you keep the account. After that it cannot be undone. Communities you own pass to their oldest moderator, or are archived when there is none. Take a copy first.
