A community for people who build.

Codemoot is a small, independent community platform for people in tech. A "moot" is the old word for a gathering, and that is the whole idea: six rooms, one news feed, and a list of upcoming conferences, without ads or noise.

What runs where:

• Accounts, chat rooms and your activity live in our own database, with hashed passwords and server sessions
• News comes live from ten sources, among them Hacker News, Dev.to and IEEE Spectrum
• Events come from the open confs.tech conference dataset
• We set two necessary cookies, one to keep you signed in and one to recognise your browser, and store no analytics or tracking data. See the privacy page
